A Smash Blog Interview with Mallory Rhodes: Integrative Health Coach

Hi Mallory thank you for joining Frisco Women today for this interview! Let’s get started by telling our readers about yourself and your background!

Mallory Rhodes - Integrative Health Coach - Frisco Women Smash Blog Interview

I grew up in Southern California and moved to McKinney Texas with my boyfriend 2 years ago in search of something new. I’ve been a licensed esthetician for over 13 years and specialized in brows since the very beginning. In 2019 I got into permanent makeup and started to also offer powder brow tattooing.

For the last 2 years I’ve built clientele here in Texas and have continued to travel back to CA for work every 6 weeks to service my loyal/new clients. For the last year I’ve been a student of the Institute For Integrative Nutrition. I started working with clients this past month and am currently on a 90 day journey to improve 3 women’s health and long term habits.

Since 2019 after the sudden passing of my father, health came to the forefront of my mind. I’ve been utterly obsessed with going deeper, searching for root causes, improving my own body and mind naturally and am so excited to help others do the same. The move to Texas was very hard for me. Going from a busy brow artist to having no clientele and no name was rough.

This slow season slowed me down enough to give me the opportunity to really sit with myself and ask if I was fulfilled and living up to my full potential. This new career path feels right and I feel blessed for the oppurtunity to serve others in the same ways that have made such a difference for not only me, but for those around me.

Thank you for sharing! We love our members and are always curious about how they came to us; when and how did you find out about Frisco Women?

I’ve been a part of the Facebook group for awhile now. I added it initially in hopes to get my brow business out there and build clientele. I’ve never attended any groups and heard about this particular opportunity from Nicki Lee!

That’s awesome! We love Nicki! Can you tell us a little about your business? We’d love to know how you got started, and where you’ve grown to today!

Well since I already talked about the beginning of my business I’ll jump ahead. The main obstacle I feel I’ve overcome was the denial that the career path I had chosen and was successful at for the last 13 years was coming to an end. It’s a hard thing to sit with. How many people do you know that feel unfulfilled in their jobs? It’s a fate I can’t live with.

My dad passed in 2019 and years of bad habits packed with grief on top spiraled my health downhill. I detoxed myself from birth control, taught myself about cycle syncing, learned how to read ingredients and choose what is best for me and ultimately completely heal my hormonal acne, weight gain, hormonal imbalances, hair loss .. and more.

As an integrative nutritional health coach, I’m passionate about helping women go from confused and disorganized on what they need to do for their health to clear on their path to wellness and aware of their specific needs. I want every woman to know they’re the authority of their own health and healing is possible.

Do you have any advice for our readers?

All of the above! I grew my clientele in the first year of business in Texas through Facebook groups, bringing in 50,000 dollars in services. I’ve set up women in business connects and love sharing advice on how to connect via social media. Life advice comes from losing my mother at 9 and growing up in a man’s world with my brother and father.

Feeling unseen, unrelated to, and alone. I took the rough path in life by choice and made things harder for myself than they needed to be. I believe now, as a 34 year old woman that doing so has helped me to be relatable and empathetic to others in ways I never would have been able to.

Now just for fun, what are your local favorites? We always like knowing about people’s favorite restaurants, dishes, drinks, etc!

Moving from CA, we’re always looking for the good Mexican food. OMG Tacos is an obsession. Lala Land coffee and any good coffee shops I’m a huge fan of. One of my favorite things to do is find good coffee shops with a good vibe. Origin in Dallas is seed oil free and has the most amazing food. We’re McKinney locals so Harvest is a fave for us too.

Do you know of any best kept secrets ? Something you wish more people knew about?

I wish more small business owners getting started knew how valuable Facebook Groups in Texas are! There’s a way to use them .. and I was able to unlock the code to build a clientele successfully for myself.

Thank you Mallory for joining us today! Where can our readers find you?
